Yoga

Every week, Col has been going to prenatal yoga with two of her pregnant buddies. After yoga, she has dinner with her parents. Here's a picture of Col with one of her best friends, Marcy. They're due 9 days apart. In this picture Col is 28 weeks along, just at the start of the third trimester!!

Building the nursery

We've been hard at work building the nursery. Dave and his dad have been busy reconstructing the closet to change it from a full sliding door closet to a smaller single door closet. (We're transforming a few other closets to to create a linen closet in the hallway.)

The nursery has been painted a pretty shade of purple. Col is busy working on a mural for the wall behind the crib. Crib is purchased and waiting to be built.

Zelda loves Squirt!

Just a few pictures of our cat Zelda sleeping on Col's belly. When should we teach the baby not to kick the cat? :)

Glider!

So this past week Col has been on Craigslist looking at baby stuff. She found a great deal on a glider for the nursery. Yesterday we went to pick it up. It's in almost unused condition and looks great!

Anatomy Scan

On Thursday, December 22nd we went for our anatomy scan. At this ultrasound, they basically measure all the bones in the baby's body as well as check the brain, heart, stomach, kidneys and placenta. This was a fantastic ultrasound! We were in a larger room than our last visit and were able to watch the whole thing on a large TV screen as opposed to the tiny screen we saw Squirt on last time. We also got to find out the sex of our baby!!! We chose to keep the gender a secret by asking the tech to write the gender of the baby inside a card along with any identifying pictures. We kept the envelope sealed, and hidden (from Col) until Christmas morning. When we opened the envelope we were delighted to learn we are having a baby girl this May! Here are a few pictures from our scan including a profile, a tiny 3cm foot and a thumbs up from our little girl!
